PHYSICAL LOCATION

The Law Library is located in the State House on the corners of Capitol and State Streets in Augusta.  The public entrance is on the west side, facing the Cross Office Building. The Library is on the 2nd floor.

Donations

The Maine State Law & Legislative Reference Library accepts donations of books and other material on a case-by-case basis. If you have materials that you are considering donating, please contact us by phone, or email us using our Ask a Law Librarian form. All donations are reviewed by our Collections Development Committee. If the committee accepts the donation, the donor will be asked to complete a gift form transferring ownership of the item to the library.

HOURS AND CLOSINGS

8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday
Irregular night and weekend hours when the House or Senate is meeting.
Closed all state and federal holidays.
